![]() The LUTs are based off Blackmagics standard translation. But, I'm always open to sharing the ideas because maybe it could inspire something similar. These conversion LUTs are designed to translate Log footage from Blackmagic Cameras to Rec 709. Not all will work for being put into the cameras. I'm going to, at least, express my interest to see it happen just like any other crazy idea I come up with. But, at the same time, I understand the challenges of bringing it to the camera. It would be cool if we could have it editable on camera as it would give us some more control of the image we're capturing. The base set contains Natural, Filmic, and Vivid options for easy color correcting and grading tailored to each camera's unique sensor. The default REC709 Video LUT is pretty much designed to mimic what traditional video cameras do so it both saturates and clips the highlights. For some reason the stock BMDFilm to Rec709.cube LUT from Blackmagic wont open in Speedgrade CC 2014 or Premiere CC 8.1 using Lumetri. Extended Video is in essence a preset on top of BMDFilm.Īwesome!
